    Pursuit Medial was founded to help physicians with great clinically based product concept    who lack the time, resources and/or knowledge for the concept to reach it’s full market potential. Pursuit Medical partners with the physician and provides the process, experience and facilities to efficiently transform physician inspired medical device concepts into commercially successful products.

    Process:

    The founders of Pursuit Medical created the P3SM process based on their deep understanding of early stage development and their strong domain knowledge in clinical applications and medical device technology. The proprietary P3 process is at the heart of Pursuit Medical’s unique business model.  Think of the P3 process  as the roadmap that streamlines the development process from idea to commercialization, beginning with the end in mind.

    Experience:

    Founders:

    Robert Ziebol, President/CEO and Co-Founder of Pursuit Medical, has 22 years of research and development experience.  He founded Ziebol and Associates 14 years ago focused on helping new medical device companies develop concepts into commercial products.  In that role, Mr. Ziebol has successfully demonstrated his ability to help build 9 companies, taken numerous products from idea to market, and lead diverse teams to successful product outcomes. He is passionate about new product innovation and optimizing product design and development. Mr. Ziebol holds 12 patents and has published 5 articles; and holds Bachelor’s degrees in both Engineering Physics and Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University.

    Robert Weinmann, M.D. is the Medical Director and Co-Founder of Pursuit Medical.  Dr. Weinmann is a board certified Radiologist, practicing partner, long time chairman of the operations committee and member of the board of directors at St Paul Radiology, P.A; partner of Midwest Radiology; on the board of directors of Stonebridge Bank and BV Bancshares, and Medical Consultant to Hemosphere (formerly GRAFTCath). Dr. Weinmann received his B.S. degree from the University of Michigan, and Medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC).  He completed his General Surgery internship at UC Irvine, Radiology residency at USC and Body Imaging Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Weinmann has a broad medical and business background with surgical training, experience as a practicing emergency room physician, occupational care physician, interventional radiologist and neuroradiologist.  He has been a principle partner and founder of many successful business entities in the medical, banking and other varied industries.

    Director of Engineering

    William Nettekoven has over thirty years of R&D experience in the medical device industry, with over twenty of those in management positions. Extensive experience in the development and high volume manufacturing of catheters for urology (volumes of 60M+/yr).  Employers have included Medtronic, St. Jude Medical, and Mentor Corporation.  Holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with an additional Biomedical Design emphasis. Author on over twelve medical device patents.

    Director of Market Development

    Brian Kane has over thirty years of marketing experience in the medical device industry.  Director or Vice President Level since 1985.  Employers have included 3M Medical Products Division, Lifecore Biomedical, and Hutchinson Technology’s BioMeasurement Division. Holds a BA degree in Journalism-Advertising.

    Pursuit Medical believes in the value of a strong advisory group.  We have a talented group of seasoned advisors; titles include Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President.  Their experience is varied, ranging from small startup medical device companies to large companies, including Medtronics and Allina. Their collective experience and wisdom is extremely valuable, helping ensure that each medical device is developed on a solid foundation and positioned for a successful future.

    Strategic partnerships and vendors:

    Pursuit Medical continues to establish long-term relationships with the best medical device professionals in the midwest in all key areas such as intellectual property (patents), design, testing, clinical, regulatory, reimbursement, business law, financing and marketing. By having these relationships in place, we are able to streamline the development process and obtain better results.

    Facilities:

    We have a small but well equipped facility, with manufacturing, lab and office space.  This facility gives us the ability to prototype, test and do limited production of most medical devices.
